Ultralytics YOLOv5 is a PyTorch-based model family and toolkit for training, exporting, and running object detection, instance segmentation, and image classification.
Solves the same problem with a different architecture or at a different layer. Expect to rewrite the integration.
Choose it when your stack is PaddlePaddle or you need Apache-2.0 plus multi-task detection/tracking/keypoint support; not a PyTorch drop-in.
Object Detection toolkit based on PaddlePaddle. It supports object detection, instance segmentation, multiple object tracking and real-time multi-person keypoint detection.
An earlier or more limited way to do the job. Still the right call when you need something small, proven, or CPU-only.
If you need an older, unmaintained YOLOv7-style detector with transformer/instance-segmentation support; not a maintained drop-in for YOLOv5.
