Go HTTP framework / microservices

Hertz is a Go HTTP framework, originally forked from fasthttp, that uses a high-performance network library to help developers build microservices.

Same problem, same approach. Swapping one for another is a config change, not a rewrite.

gin-gonic/ginGitHub

Use gin instead of Hertz if you need net/http compatibility and a large pool of community middleware.

Gin is a high-performance HTTP web framework written in Go. It provides a Martini-like API but with significantly better performance—up to 40 times faster—thanks to httprouter. Gin is designed for building REST APIs, web applications, and microservices.

Use echo if you prefer a clean, minimalist API with built-in middleware and standard net/http integration over Hertz's netpoll-specific performance optimizations.

Same job, different approach

Solves the same problem with a different architecture or at a different layer. Expect to rewrite the integration.

go-chi/chiGitHub

Choose chi when you want a lightweight, idiomatic router on net/http and are comfortable assembling your own middleware stack rather than adopting Hertz's integrated framework.

Older generation, or narrower

An earlier or more limited way to do the job. Still the right call when you need something small, proven, or CPU-only.

andeya/faygoGitHub

Choose faygo if you are supporting a legacy Go service already written on it; it hasn't been updated in years and shouldn't be chosen for new work.

Faygo is a fast and concise Go Web framework that can be used to develop high-performance web app(especially API) with fewer codes. Just define a struct handler, faygo will automatically bind/verify the request parameters and generate the online API doc.

These projects were analysed and named hertz among their alternatives. The relationship is not symmetric — how hertz rates them is a separate judgement, made when hertz is analysed in its own right.
